As the tears flow down the tense muscles of your face and mockingly caress your lips, you think of the day gone wrong.
As bitter thoughts are wrestled into silence and harsh words bitten into a thousand pieces, effort betrays you without worthy cause.
You try to suppress tears and thoughts while still grasping the growing bitterness.
You finally lose the battle between caustic thoughts and repose as you fall into a state of the unforgivable.
Losing all blame on yourself and turning it towards the innocent.
Rebelling against integrity and veering towards the ever present darkness on the edge of your conscience.
Losing yourself in that somber place where you won’t have strength to return to reality.
You are now lost, alone in the place of no returns.
The light went out on your hope and the only thing to save you now is your self.
